In short, the application process of a Private Lease consists of 3 parts. Your application, the financial check and the delivery.
Below you can see the steps your application goes through for each section:

1. You configure your lease completely as you wish and complete the application form.
2. You will receive confirmation by e-mail, including your application and lease rate.
3. Riemersma Leasing forwards your application to EDR Credit Services for the financial check.
4. In case of a positive result, Riemersma Leasing draws up a contract and sends it to you, together with the form for waiving the 14 days consideration period. 
5. Once you have signed and returned the contract, we will order the car for you if the 14 days consideration period has expired or you waive the consideration period using the form.
6. You will receive the expected delivery date.
7. MAX'S Mobility will contact you for the delivery of your car.

*Anyone with a valid Dutch driving license can enter into a Private Lease contract. In addition, applications require a work permit that must be at least equal to the contract duration.

General info

Private Lease allows you as an individual to drive a car for a fixed monthly fee without it being yours. You can determine the period yourself and it varies between 36 and 60 months. The monthly amount includes all costs excluding fuel.

Anyone with a valid Dutch driving license can enter into a Private Lease contract. Furthermore, we impose a number of conditions to ensure that the contract is fulfilled. Acceptance for a Private Lease contract goes through EDR Credit Services. They determine whether you are creditworthy and pass the acceptance.

In addition, applications require a work permit that must be at least equal to the contract duration.

How does Santander Leasing handle my privacy?
Santander Leasing respects your privacy and considers it very important to handle your personal data carefully and confidentially.

Who is allowed to drive the Private Lease car?
Anyone with a valid driving license in the Netherlands may drive the car. Please note that you remain responsible for your Private Lease car at all times.

Santander Leasing App
There is a Santander Leasing App where you can find all practical information and important phone numbers. The App is free and can be used as a driver under the e-mail address known to us.

Financial/Contract

What are more/less kilometers?
Multi-kilometers are charged annually based on the mileage you provide at the multi-kilometer price agreed upon in the Private Lease Agreement. If there are fewer kilometers driven, they will be paid to you annually by offsetting the annual mileage reported by you at the less kilometrage price agreed in the lease agreement.

More kilometers are €0.10 per km.
Less kilometers are €0.04 per km.

What does the Private Lease contract entail?
A Private Lease Contract means that you pay a fixed amount per month for the use of a car. Included in this Private Lease contract are costs such as:

• Depreciation & interest
• Road tax (MRB)
• All-Risk insurance (WA / Casco)
• Passenger insurance (SVI)
• Repair, Maintenance & Tires
• Breakdown assistance
• Replacement transport (after 48 hours)

• Tow bar
• All Weather tires

The Private Lease contract is always excluding fuel.

How does financial underwriting work?
After submitting the application, a mandatory credit check is done, this checks the carrying capacity (loan standard). This indicates the amount of money you should have left per month for living expenses when all fixed costs are paid.

Based on the credit check an advice is given. If the advice is positive, we will send you the contract to sign. If the advice is negative, you will receive an e-mail with the rejection.

Will I get a BKR registration with a Private Lease?
When entering into a Private Lease contract, there is a BKR registration of the amount you pay over the entire lease period.

This can be calculated as follows: lease term x term x 100%.
For example:
Lease term is €489.
Lease term is 60 months
Then the registration is: € 489.00 x 60 x 100% = € 29,340.00

Road tax discount for a plug in hybrid (PHEV) car.
The Lynk & Co 01 has a PHEV drive which enjoys a 50% discount on the road tax rate until January 1, 2025. It is likely that this discount will be reduced in 2025 and 2026.

The plan is that starting January 1, 2025, the discount rate for PHEV passenger cars will be reduced to 25%. And the rebate will expire in 2026.

These increases will be passed on in the lease rate.

Is it possible to take a test drive?
It is possible to test drive a Lynk & Co 01. To do so, you can make an appointment with:

What is the delivery time of the car?
This is a Lynk & Co occasion. Delivery time of the car after receipt of the signed Private Lease contract is 4 to 8 weeks unless otherwise specified.

Can I go to winter sports areas with the all-weather tires?
The all-weather tires have a 3PMSF/3 Peak Mountain Snow Flake rating and are therefore suitable for winter sports areas.

Does the car have a trailer assist function when a tow bar is installed?
The car in combination with the tow bar we install does not have a trailer assist function. The original Lynk&Co towbar that does provide trailer assist has a delivery time of 12-15 months.

Can I choose which Lynk&Co 01 I get?
No, you cannot choose a specific Lynk & Co vehicle. A Lynk & Co 01 PHEV of the 2022 model year with a mileage of up to 30,000 km will be delivered. The specification of the car is the same as 01/2022.
The choices are:
- The color of the car (blue or black).
- Option: All weather tires.
- Option: Tow bar (Please note! Trailer assist is unavailable).

Maintenance and repair

My car needs maintenance

What is the amount of the own contribution?
By default, a personal contribution of € 250.00 applies to non-recoverable damage. If more than 2 non-recoverable claims occur within 12 months, the own contribution is increased to € 450.00. This increase then applies for the remainder of the lease term.

For drivers under 23 years of age, a personal contribution of € 270.00 per non-recoverable claim applies. In the event of an increase, an own contribution of € 585.00 applies to this target group.

In the event of damage to the windshield, no own contribution applies if the windshield can be repaired. If the windscreen is replaced, the own contribution will be reduced by € 125.00 if this replacement is done by a repairer selected by Santander Leasing.
